FPT Industrial rolls out new low emission engines at bauma China

FPT Industrial is introducing a new Tier 3 engine range at bauma China 2014. The new F5, NEF and Cursor Series engines include a range compliant with Tier 3 emission regulations for China, developed in partnership through its joint venture with SFH. The engines were developed with the assistance of SFH’s extensive research and development facilities both in Chongqing and Jiading-Shanghai.

Cummins unveiled two new engines at bauma in Shanghai. Both the QSF3.8 and QSB7 are primarily for the Chinese market and are Tier 3 compliant. “They are optimised for excavator products and for Chinese OEM manufacturers” said Jonathon White Executive Director of Off Highways at Cummins. Transmission specialist Dana Incorporated has struck an agreement to purchase the power-transmission and fluid power businesses of Brevini Group. Under terms of the agreement, Dana plans to initially purchase an 80% share in the Brevini businesses, with an option to purchase the remaining 20% by 2020. Dana has valued the Brevini businesses at €325 million, including the assumption of approximately €100 million of net debt. German engine manufacturer Deutz has agreed a key supply deal with Chinese construction machinery manufacturer SANY. The agreement will see SANY fitting its wheeled loaders with the TCD 7.8 diesel engine from Deutz. These engines feature diesel particulate filters and are Stage V ready. DEUTZ year-end expectations hold firm despite volatile market

German engine manufacturer DEUTZ reported new orders in the group rose by 1% to €677.2 million (H1 2015: €670.7 million), despite tough market conditions.
