Materials washing specialist CDE is displaying three updated machines at bauma 2013 – the Evowash, the M2500 and the Agg Max 83R. All three machines have benefitted from CDE’s in-house ‘Worldbeater’ programme, which sees teams of staff pitted against each other to come up with new ideas.

Italy’s Comap was pleased with the visitor response at this year’s bauma, after making its show debut in 2010 when people’s travel plans were hit by the aftermath of the Icelandic volcano eruption. Hyundai Heavy Industries has signed a strategic partnership with German construction equipment manufacturer Atlas Weyhausen. The partnership covers four single rollers ranging from 7tonnes to 14tonnes and tandem rollers of 2.5tonne and 3tonne to be built by Atlas Weyhausen.

Faresin Industries has expanded its telescopic handler range with the addition of the FH8.40 and the rotating Storm 22.45 evo. The FH8.40 sits in the range between the established FH7.45 and the FH9.30. The machine has a capacity of 4tonnes with a maximum lift height of 8m. Higher up the lifting scale, the Storm 22.45 rotating handler can manage up to 45tonne lifts, with a maximum height of 22m.

Ma-estro, which manufactures automation and control systems for quarrying and construction sites, has launched two new products – Fuel Q-Control and Maintenance Q-Control.

Materials testing equipment manufacturer Tecnotest has launched a powerful new touch-screen display unit, Touchtronic. “We were not the first to introduce the touch screen, but this has given us the opportunity to see what other firms provide and to enhance it,” said Tecnotest overseas and regional European sales manager Patricia Sarson.

Fraccaroli & Balzan, which designs, manufactures and installs waste water treatment systems, is showcasing its biggest filter press yet at bauma 2013. Previously the Italian firm only made lateral beam-type filter presses, which can only go up to a certain size and capacity. JLG International has launched a new telehandler, the 250S. “We updated the machine in order to comply with the new emissions regulations,” said JLG marketing communications manager Xenia Kolijn. The telehandler has a Deutz engine and complies with Tier 4 final, said Kolijn.
