GKD Technologies shows off 'intelligent workwear' vest

GKD Technologies has introduced a link for 'intelligent workwear' to its proximity monitoring system. High viz vests or other workwear fitted with the link will display flashing lights and sound an audible alarm when the company's SensorZone system detects the wearer is in a danger zone. SensorZone comprises a sensor system that detects the presence of workers near a vehicle and activates an alarm beacon, and transmits a warning to vibrating tags fitted to the workers' helmets.

French firm Sport System has developed a diesel particulate filter (DPF) cleaner called Technifap. Suitable for all types and sizes of DPF, the cleaning process starts with an internal inspection by boroscope before the filter is dressed with a biodegradable cleaning solution and installed into the Technifap cabinet. Magni Telescopic Handlers has introduced the RTH 8.25 SH rotating telescopic handler, which it claims has a higher capacity than any similar machine in the world. Built on the chassis of its 35/39 models, but with major structural components reinforced for strength, the machine can lift 5.3 tonnes at 25m height and 1 tonne at 21m reach. Komatsu launched its third-generation hybrid excavator at Intermat 2018 this week. The HB215LC-3 hybrid crawler excavator offers greater efficiency and productivity through a combination of technologies. “Today, ten years after the launch of the industry’s very first hybrid excavator, Komatsu demonstrates its ongoing commitment to the development of Hybrid technology,” says Koenraad Staels, product manager at Komatsu Europe.
