Chicago Pneumatic has added production capacity for the brand’s portable diesel compressor range at its Antwerp manufacturing facility in Belgium. The firm says the new production strategy aims to meet Europe’s increasing demand as well as Chicago Pneumatic’s (CP) ambition to offer market-leading customer service and delivery times. Hewden, the national UK plant hire specialist, is investing over €70 million in its machine lines after seeing an enthusiastic response to its Core Fleet Guarantee (CFG). The CFG, said to be the first in the hire industry, offers a next day delivery on the 30 most hired plant and access machines or the customer receives a credit of €119 (£100). Sebastien Pirlet, from Belgium, triumphed in the 2013 Case Rodeo operator competition. An incredible group of skilled operators from 13 countries took part in the European Final, having already won their respective national competitions. This included the competition’s first female Swedish operator, Lise Lott Jansson. All of the competitors attending the event, which was held at the Case Customer Centre at Monthyon near Paris, were put through four tests of ultimate machine control and precision operating.
