Among a host of updated machinery at bauma, Sennebogen has unveiled the 655HD duty cycle crawler crane for the dragline and foundation industries. The 55tonne E Series machine is powered by a 261kW Stage IIIB Caterpillar engine. Both of its 16tonne winches are driven by variable flow hydraulic motors and the machine is equipped with the firm’s SENCON monitoring and electronic control system.

Putzmeister has added a five-section 38m, 160m3/hr concrete pump, which can be used to place loads inside buildings some 3m higher than the four-section option. Bespoke equipment supplier Cimolai Technology is exhibiting a model of the equipment it supplied for a Bulgarian bridge project. Atlas Copco Road Construction Equipment has decided to align the visual identity of its Dynapac range of rollers and pavers to the design used by the other divisions in the Atlas Copco Construction Technique business area. Launched at bauma, the new Atlas Copco logotype is clearly visible on the products together with the Dynapac name. The colour scheme changes to yellow and grey, which is already used for construction tools, portable compressors and generators.

Materials testing firm Matest has launched an asphalt splitter at bauma. The machine breaks up asphalt specimens so that the constituent parts can be tested, a task that is often carried out by hand. “The purpose of the machine is to make the operator’s life easier,” said area manager Massiono Martorini. The splitter should also lead to greater efficiency, as breaking specimens down will take less time, and allow laboratory technicians to do other things.
