Improved reliability and durability of its light and medium hydraulic breakers is allowing Atlas Copco to extend warranty cover for these units to three years. The newly developed 1+2program is a free of charge offer for all SB and MB range hydraulic breakers purchased after July 1st 2009. The cover requires that maintenance procedures are adhered to as stated in the operating instructions.

Caterpillar is offering its 301.6 and 301.8 undercarriages to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The package includes carbodies and suits machines with a gross vehicle weight of up to 1.964tonnes. The new undercarriage is assembled at the same facility where larger Cat undercarriages (312 - 375) is built.

Caterpillar's rugged, reliable and durable TH514 telehandler offers a load capacity of 5tonnes, lift height of 13.7m and a forward reach of 9.2m. The machine has load-sensing, flow-sharing hydraulics that allow all three boom functions to be operated simultaneously and proportionally.

Ausa has developed the D1000AHG dumper which offers a 10tonne load capacity and features a skip with 180º rotation for unloading. Like the smaller models in the range, the D1000AHG offers high productivity and low maintenance costs. Power comes from a Kubota diesel with low exhaust and noise emissions, as well as low fuel consumption.

Bobcat's new 8tonne class E80 excavator is said to offer high performance as well as fuel efficiency, durability, operator comfort and easy serviceability. The maximum digging depth of the E80 is 4.15m, the maximum dump height is 4.72m and the maximum reach is 7m, although a longer dipperstick is optional.

Atlas Copco Construction Tools now offers six new hydraulic compactor attachments designed for use on excavators ranging in weight from 1-40tonnes. A key innovation for the HC range is a housing attachment that can be offset at 15°, which improves the distribution of forces on the vibrator plate while reducing stress and wear. Bobcat is offering three new steel tracked versions of its heavyweight loaders, the T250, T300 and T320. The factory-fit steel track options for the loaders offer an alternative to the conventional rubber tracked configurations for applications such as demolition. The tracks allow the machines to work on rocky and abrasive soils, as well as breaking and clearing concrete/asphalt surfaces, providing better traction and increased ground adherence.

Atlas Copco is aiming its new three-tool, towable compressor at the construction and construction rental industries. Highly mobile, the XAS87Kd compressor weighs in at less than 750kg, is compact in design, robust, sturdy and simple to operate. Power comes from a four-cylinder Kubota diesel rated at 33kW and the compressor features a novel smaller element with improved rotor design, coupled through direct gear transmission. Olympia Odos and Aegean Motorway of Greece have received four STEIGER T 180 aerial platforms from German manufacturer Ruthmann. Both companies had previously rented STEIGER products, but decided to purchase the models to enhance their fleet of maintenance vehicles.
