Sandvik Mining and Construction has launched the first representative of its new Basic Line breaker product line to the Indian market.

Sandvik is introducing a line of new compact breakers that are aimed at carriers in the 1.9-12.5tonne weight range.

Compact compaction units are delivering increased performance – Mike Woof reports. Competition is tough in the market for non-ride-on compaction units, with two manufacturers now introducing revamped models. Both JCB and Wacker Neuson aim to claim a larger section of the market with their latest designs, compaction plates and remote-controlled trench rollers respectively.

Contractor CMK is using a new Bobcat T770 tracked loader to help build roads for the UK's Forestry Commission. The T770 compact tracked loader was supplied by dealer AMS Bobcat and will be used on a new three-year Forestry Commission contract won by CMK.

From removing light snow from pavements and driveways, to shifting heavy or packed piles of snow and ice, Bobcat claims they have tools for any winter job. Different hydraulic motor packages now come with the company’s snow blower models, which offer widths varying from 1,220mm to 2,134mm. With throw distances from 7.6m to 13.7m, the models have a rotating chute and deflector to point the snow in the preferred direction.

HITACHI CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY (Europe)/(HCME) has expanded its popular range of mini excavators with the introduction of the ZX27-3, a model which is said to be easily transportable, and to offer improved handling, comfort and safety. Joep van den Maagdenberg, HCME product sales manager Compact Line (EMEA), said: "The ZX27-3 is a highly versatile machine and is suitable for a broad range of applications, including utilities and general groundworks. Like all Zaxis minis, it is easy to operate and this model
