Poland's General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) is to announce a US$2.66 billion [€2bn] tender in mid-2013 for the construction of the A1 motorway between Pyrzowice near Katowice and Tuszyn near Lodz. China Railway Construction has won tenders worth US$2.68 billion (CNY 16.67bn) to develop Chinese highways. The projects will be implemented on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) model.
