Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) president and chief executive Moriaki Kadoya believes HCME can achieve 20-30% sales revenue growth in the next five years through its wide range of mining-suited machines. Screening and crushing machine manufacturer McCloskey increased its workforce by 30% and added some 12,600m2 of covered workspace in 2012. At the Peterborough facility in Canada, the company has added almost 4,000m2 of warehousing and another 7,250m2 to extend the production line.

South African OEM Bell Equipment has been granted distribution rights by Terex Finlay for its range of mobile crushing, screening and recycling equipment in South Africa. Completion of the agreement was carried out at bauma and the move expands the strategic alliances with global OEMs and grows the company's product range.

The new venue for the bC India show is the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, near Delhi. A total of 170,000m² of exhibition space is available for the bauma/ConExpo event taking place from 15-18 December, 2014. The move to Great Noida follows two successful events held in Mumbai.

The 12th Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition & Seminar (BICES 2013) is set to have a record 1,500 exhibitors covering an area of 230,000m2. Numbers of both domestic and international visitors are also expected to grow. Overall, BICES 2013 expects to attract more than 130,000 visitors. A new construction equipment show for the emerging markets surfaced today when CONEXPO Latin America was launched by the Milwaukee-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). The trade body said the show was designed to “offer expanded opportunities to connect to markets in Central and South America”.

Deutz will this year achieve its 500,000th engine sale to Atlas Copco, marking an impressive milestone in a business relationship stretching back 57 years. In addition to the main Atlas Copco brand, Deutz also supplies other well-known companies in the Group, such as Dynapac and Chicago Pneumatic in China. Virtually the entire Deutz product range is in use in Atlas Copco group machines.

Atlas Copco Road Construction Equipment has decided to align the visual identity of its Dynapac range of rollers and pavers to the design used by the other divisions in the Atlas Copco Construction Technique business area. Launched at bauma, the new Atlas Copco logotype is clearly visible on the products together with the Dynapac name. The colour scheme changes to yellow and grey, which is already used for construction tools, portable compressors and generators.

Hyundai Heavy Industries has signed a strategic partnership with German construction equipment manufacturer Atlas Weyhausen. The partnership covers four single rollers ranging from 7tonnes to 14tonnes and tandem rollers of 2.5tonne and 3tonne to be built by Atlas Weyhausen.

CTE held a successful dealer training session at bauma, aimed particularly at sharing product information including its new Zed truck-mounted articulated platforms’ variable jacking system. Other key areas of focus included the new Traccess models – which are almost ready to be presented to the market.
