SONO Hub allows for on-device W/C-value calculation, local and direct cloud data storage and analysis via smartphone connectivity.

Case has developed a concept wheeled loader to showcase new and developing technologies. The “Impact” is fully electric and features Case’s semi-autonomous “click & dig” system, but the most notable thing about the machine it its silhouette - it has no cab. It has been designed for remote operation.

“We can imagine in the future that we can drive the machine fully automatically from a kind of site control lounge,” explained Fabrizio Cepollina, head of construction for EMEA Case. “It could be interesting for dangerous areas such as demolition.”

Ammann’s eARX 26-2 Light Tandem Roller features a fully electric drive that can operate for up to 10 hours without recharging.

While categorised as a ‘light’ machine, the compactor actually has an operating weight of 2,640kg. “To have a fully electric machine of this size is a breakthrough,” said Vlasta Medek, Ammann’s global commercial manager for heavy compaction.

Because it is not a combustion engine, the eARX 26-2 is extremely quiet during operation. Sound levels reaching the operator station are 46% less than a diesel version.

Hyundai CEE says the compact machine will provide the ideal digging solution for urban utilities, landscaping and gardening, tunnel and basement excavation and for many local authority tasks, such as cemeteries and sports facilities.

A joint venture between Hitachi and Kiesel Technology builds special application machines for demolition. The machines are made in Germany by KTEG and these include the KTEG 390HR, which is based on a Hitachi ZX350, and equipped with an extendable undercarriage, additional counterweight and tiltable demolition cab. The fixed mounted 23m high-reach boom allows an attachment weight of 3.5tonnes.

The High Recycling Technology (HRT) Asphalt Batch Plant is a premium Ammann plant, with advanced technologies. It can incorporate up to 100% RAP with extremely low energy consumption and emissions.

The double-drum system combines a virgin aggregate drum with either an RAH60 or RAH100 recycling drum. Indirect, gentle heating reduces fuel burn and emissions. Heat distribution is more homogenous, too, which prevents sticking – as does the vertical flow.
