The Spicer TZL16 transmission has been engineered for 17tonne ZL50 front-end loaders, which account for about two-thirds of the front-end loaders manufactured in China.

Komatsu has begun taking orders for factory-fitted double auxiliary circuits for its MR-3 mini-excavators, which can be comfortably controlled by a double slider on the machine’s PPC joysticks. Higher performances and an improved oil ¬flow, with a perfect pipe routing and smooth fingertip controls, are said by Komatsu to be a few advantages of this new option. By switching to the Attachment work mode, the double circuit offers many possibilities to the operator.

Asphalt Drum Mixers (ADM) says its SPL hot-mix asphalt plants are an affordable option for contractors with low production requirements. The SPL series is said to include all necessary components for drum-mixing asphalt production, yet can fit on a single trailer frame. The plants provide high reliability while producing asphalt at a very low cost per ton.

Asphalt Burner Services (ABS), a nationwide provider of asphalt servicing and spare part products, has fitted a Vulcan Burner at Cemex Shap, in Cumbria, North West England. ABS says Cemex has noted that fuel usage has reduced, emissions have lowered and overall plant performance has increased substantially. Diversified Products (DP) has launched two Pole Puller models, said by the firm to be giving electric utility crews a faster and safer method for pole removal. The XHD-60 pole puller delivers more than 54,432kgs of pulling force and can handle poles up to 66cms in diameter. Legacy Building Solutions has designed and built two new salt storage and winter de-icing operation facilities for Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) in the United States. The tension fabric structures, situated near Markle and Westfield, provide each site with a salt storage capacity of 2,993tonnes — enough to cover several months of winter road maintenance.

Sandvik has supplied an aggregate plant to the DooWon Development Company to process granite at its Jungeub quarry in JeonRa province, South Korea. The supplied equipment is processing blasted rock from a feed size of -900mm in order to produce aggregate for the Korean construction industry, with the product fractions ranging from 0-5mm to 13-25mm, at a required rate of production of 500tonnes per hour.
