SANY Road Machinery has developed its latest asphalt paver to meet the needs of contractors wanting a high output machine. This highway class paver features a throughput of some 900tonnes/hour, sufficient for use in large road construction projects. The screed allows a maximum paving thickness of some 50mm, while maximum paving width using the standard hydraulic screed is 9.5m. Power comes from a diesel delivering 162kW.

Ammann has won a significant order from a customer in Thailand for an asphalt plant at bauma China 2014. The plant is being supplied to a major Thai contractor, located around one hour’s journey from Bangkok. The customer has an older generation plant that will be retained, but is buying the newer and more sophisticated Ammann plant to help boost production.

The Wirtgen Group is now offering variants of its latest Vögele asphalt pavers and Hamm asphalt compactors. Doosan unveiled a new range of excavators that are all China Stage III compliant. While initially only for the Chinese market a Doosan representative confirmed that they will be offered for other emergent markets. The largest is the DX500LC-9C.
