Takeuchi has revealed three mini excavators, two to replace existing models and a totally new addition to the line-up. The smallest of the three, the TB210R, is currently in prototype form, but should be with dealers by the end of 2015. Weighing in at 1,150kg it will eventually replace the 800kg TB108 as Takeuchi’s smallest micro digger. John Deere Power Systems is introducing its PowerSight telematic system to European customers. Brought in on John Deere’s own construction equipment range in the North American market last year, PowerSight is now available to OEMs that use its engines elsewhere.

Kobelco has unveiled seven new mini-excavators below 3tonnes at INTERMAT 2015 in Paris as a result of a major agreement with construction equipment manufacturer Yanmar. The deal increases the options for Kobelco customers and potential customers who work in extremely tight environments. “INTERMAT is our first announcement and roll out of these models,” said Sander Gesink, Kobelco’s brand marketing manager.

LiuGong’s 856H wheeled loader with “new LiuGong DNA” is being showcased at INTERMAT 2015 for the first time in Europe in Tier 4 Final/Stage IV configuration. “The H-Series [wheeled loaders] has been completely designed to work efficiently, and to be easy to service and maintain,” said David Beatenbough, LiuGong’s vice president. “This is the first machine to display our new LiuGong DNA. Over the coming months and years you’ll see machines with the same visual cues as the 856H.”

Engcon, celebrating its 25th birthday at INTERMAT 2015, has been highlighting its new Generation 2 tiltrotators, including the new EC214. The EC214 is the fifth model in Generation 2, the others being the EC206, EC209, EC219 and EC226, and it is for use on excavators weighing between 9-14 tonnes. Sunward is introducing four new mini excavators. A key launch is a new 2.5tonne class zero tailswing mini excavator, the SWE25 UE.
