Komatsu is widening its hybrid excavator range

Komatsu is widening its range of hybrid excavators with the addition of a new 36t0nne class machine. The new model retains technology from its proven 21tonne class hybrid excavator but offers greater productivity and performance. As with the existing HB215 hybrid machine from Komatsu, the new model is also said to offer considerable savings in fuel consumption. Although the hybrid models are more expensive than standard machines, the firm says that the fuel savings allow a steady payback time for customers.
Improved technology for Vögele SprayJet

Vögele continues to develop its SprayJet technology with the introduction of the new SUPER 1800-3i SprayJet. A key feature is that operation of the spray module has been integrated into the sophisticated ErgoPlus 3 operating system. The module has also been designed as a completely self-contained functional unit. It features a modular design that makes the system simpler to service and allows it to be used both as a spray paver and as a conventional asphalt paver. The paver has a maximum spray width of 6m.

Komatsu Europe claims that its new WA470-8 wheel loader offers higher output and lower emissions than the model it replaces. Power comes from a Tier 4 Final/Stage IV engine and its fuel consumption is up to 8 % lower than for the WA470-7. The new model retains the proven durability and reliability of the earlier model but also offers improved stability, breakout power and tractive effort. Productivity is improved while fuel consumption has been reduced by up to 8%.
