Atlas Copco adds three LED models to HiLight tower range

Atlas Copco has expanded its HiLight tower range with the launch of three advanced LED plug-and-light models - P2+ as well as the V2+ and V3+. The company said that all three models can be powered directly from an auxiliary power source, the grid or a portable generator. They need minimum maintenance and feature easy portability. Mallatite has supplied aluminium lighting columns and LED road lanterns as part of the Erskine Bridge Lighting and Electrical Refurbishment Project for Transport Scotland. The project is set to enhance night-time driving visibility and reduce energy consumption by up to 80% through the use of dimming. In Austria, a Wirtgen W 100 CFi compact milling machine with deep milling unit is being used for trenching prior to the laying of broadband cables – just before it sets to work milling off entire pavements. Work is being done in Engelhartszell in the Upper Austrian district of Schärding, not far from the German border. Contractor Hemmelmair Frästechnik, from Linz, is making use of the W 100 CFi’s cutting-edge technology, in this case made from steel and carbide.

Démolition et terrassement XL Sàrl from Nidderkuer, Luxembourg, has been using the largest capacity Hyundai excavator, the R1200-9, in Luxembourg City centre. The R1200-9, which has an operating weight of 120tonnes, started in March in the city’s financial heart on the site of the soon-to-be Bank of China complex. The huge excavator is breaking reinforced concrete foundations with a 7tonne hydraulic breaker. The first task to complete is a 35m-deep, 6-storey underground parking area.

Chicago Pneumatic has supplied a major order of hydraulic breakers to Rock Fall Contracting WLL (RFC), a key civil engineering and earthmoving specialist based in Doha, Qatar. The firm has augmented its fleet of Chicago Pneumatic rig-mounted hydraulic breakers with the addition of new RX8 and RX54 units. Machine control technology boosting efficiency

Hemisphere says that its new S321+ and C321+ GNSS smart antennae are well-suited to mounting on construction equipment to offer machine control technology. The multi-frequency S321+ and C321+ systems offer Athena RTK and Atlas GNSS global corrections and are upgrades to their previous versions. The new units have additional capabilities and are powered by the Eclipse P326 OEM board, supporting 394 channels.
