Shantui wheel loader has ‘planetary power’
April 12, 2012
The SL50W-3 wheel loader by Shantui has been fitted with planetary power shift transmission and a coxial flow amplification type hydraulic steering system for flexible operation and energy efficiency. Also kitted out with a Dongfeng Cummins engine, the SL50W-3’s is said to have a highly articulated frame for a better turning radius and greater work flexibility. Its automatic bucket-leveling function is said by Shantui to ease operator handling, and its advanced Z-type reverse tipping mechanism with large br
Compact yet highly constructive
April 12, 2012
It might be compact, but the recently launched Kramer Allrad 650 wheel-loader does not shirk from weighty construction matters. One of two Kramer machines for the 0.6m³ class, the 650 has an all-wheel steering mechanism which reduces materials handling time. The 650’s non-articulated chassis is said by Kramer to ensure high stability due to the constant centre of gravity. It also has traction drive.
Constructing above its weight
April 12, 2012
The Kramer Allrad 550 wheel-loader is said to be a machine that constructs above its weight. Despite the machine’s compact design, Kramer claims it offers operators the “full loader performance” of a “big machine”. One of two recently to market Kramer machines for the 0.6m³ class, the 550 is aimed mainly at customers in the construction industry, rental fleets and local authorities.
Sany unveils SYG 5320 truck-mounted concrete pump
April 12, 2012
A truck-mounted concrete pump with five distributor mast arms for the 40m category, the SYG 5320 THB 42 with RZ5 placing boom has low-mounted roll fold and Z-fold. The model’s sturdy self-supporting basic frame has supporting arms at the front which have dual telescoping capability. The support can be swung out hydraulically at the rear and pivoted directly on the basic frame. This manoeuvre transfers the forces from the load torque of the placing boom directly to the rear supports, ensuring stable working
Sany’s HBT 80C-1818 stationary concrete pump
April 12, 2012
Sany is showcasing its recently launched stationary concrete pump machines at Intermat 2012 alongside its new truck-mounted models. The HBT 80C-1818, one of the firm’s two stationary models to be featured in the exhibition, has a powerful 170kW, and despite only coming onto the market in recent months, is already in demand on the world’s construction sites.
Sany’s HBT 60C-1816 stationary concrete pump
April 12, 2012
As well as choosing Intermat 2012 to unveil its truck-mounted concrete pumps, Sany will also be showcasing its recently launched stationary models. The HBT 60C-1816 is, according to the Chinese company, a response to increasing market demand for ever greater performance in drive and delivery pressure. Attractively designed and equipped with hydraulic drive components from leading manufacturers, the machines are equipped with the latest powerful 110 kW engine, whose electronic engine management ensures stabl
Haulotte Group’s rough diamond
April 12, 2012
Haulotte Group (HG) will be unveiling a prototype of its new rough-terrain telescopic boom - the HT23RTJ – at INTERMAT 2012. The aerial work platform is said by the firm to have been designed in collaboration with a panel of customers, to ensure the machine meets the needs of a range of industries working at heights of up to 23m. Said by HG to be ideal for construction, shipbuilding, chemical, petrochemical, and aviation-based applications, the HTR23RTJ is also billed as demonstrating “unsurpassed” performa
Klac wins silver at INTERMAT 2012 with new quick hitch device
April 12, 2012
The combination of innovative safety features in a new quick hitch device for hydraulic excavators has earned a silver award for Klac in the INTERMAT Innovation Awards 2012. The new Klac + quick hitch device comes in three models for machines of 8/9tonnes to 24/25tonnes. It has been designed to open up new markets for the company, which has specialised in quick coupling systems for 11 years but had previously focused on smaller machines.
Sateco launches lift shaft podium
April 12, 2012
Sateco says its new lift shaft podium (PCA) makes it possible to block and secure access to lift shafts during building work. It also maximises secure work and material storage space during the time it takes to build up concrete shells. Due to its adjustable telescopic feet and the dimension markings every 10cm along its adjustment pipes, it can be perfectly adjusted between heights of 2.7m and 4m. Its wooden working platform can also be extended using sliding cross-pieces that require neither screws nor na
JCB is introducing a new three model range of breakers
April 12, 2012
JCB is introducing new hydraulic breakers to meet a range of customer needs. The larger HM870Q, HM1270Q and HM1570Q hydraulic breakers feature stainless steel components in critical areas as well as sealed for life accumulators, both of which boost operating life. Performance has been increased due to improved hydraulics, boosting efficiency and reducing noise while the breakers are said to have high power to weight ratios compared with rival units.
Sateco claims world formwork first
April 12, 2012
Sateco says its new detensioning spacer unit is a world first for the construction industry. The product is fitted with a side nut that acts as a valve, releasing the force acting on the formwork rod after concrete has dried. When the side nut is manoeuvred, the detensioning spacer unit is moved, thus releasing the pressure acting on the main nut. The main nut is then easier to unscrew, allowing faster and less strenuous form removal. Product designers at France-based Sateco came up with the detensionsing s
INTERMAT launch for tracked pump
April 12, 2012
The BSC 1409 D from Putzmeister is a self-propelled concrete pump designed specifically for concreting drilled piles on unfinished surfaces. In contrast to using truck-mounted concrete pumps for concreting drilled piles, it does not need supports to be set up each time it changes location. Compared to concreting with a delivery pipe, placement speed with the tracked concrete pump is now said to be considerably higher.
