Nepal road upgrades being planned

A series of infrastructure upgrades are planned for Nepal that will help improve its economic development. A key infrastructure requirement for Nepal is the development of its road network. In a move to tackle the issue, Nepal’s Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has initiated the strategy for the development of roads in all 75 districts by 2022. About US$7.5 billion has been estimated as being required for the completion of this project. Funding will require financing from internal sources

SDLG wins major Saudi Arabia deal

The machines have been supplied by the SDLG dealer for Saudi Arabia, Al-Futtaim Auto and Machinery Company (FAMCO). In all 58 SDLG machines have been ordered by the client, the Saudi Arabian contractor Shibh Al-Jazira Contracting Company. The first units have now been delivered, with the rest being supplied in due course. The order consists of 30 SDLG LG958 wheeled loaders and 28 SDLG G9220 motor graders. Italy has seen growth in the market for road construction machines in 2015. According to data from the SaMoTer-Prometeia Outlook analysts, the country’s exports of road construction machines grew 27.5% while its imports of equipment for the market jumped 30.8%.
