Kobelco rolls out seven mini-excavators at INTERMAT 2015

Kobelco has unveiled seven new mini-excavators below 3tonnes at INTERMAT 2015 in Paris as a result of a major agreement with construction equipment manufacturer Yanmar. The deal increases the options for Kobelco customers and potential customers who work in extremely tight environments. “INTERMAT is our first announcement and roll out of these models,” said Sander Gesink, Kobelco’s brand marketing manager.
Hitachi launches the first Zaxis-6 excavator in Europe

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) has presented the first model of its Zaxis-6 medium excavator range, the X300LC-6, which is said to benefit from several enhancements made to the Zaxis-5 range. Hitachi design engineers have incorporated new TRIAS II technology into the Zaxis-6 range of excavators to meet EU Stage IV emission regulations. Hydraulic loss is decreased by reducing the amount of hydraulic oil returned to the tank due to cooperative control of the pump and valve.
Case strengthens its brand in the global marketplace

Case Construction Equipment is gearing up to assemble excavators at its plant in Italy as part of company’s repositioning within the global marketplace, which was announced last May. The excavators will be from Sumitomo, Case’s long-term Japanese partner, said Andy Blandford, Case’s vice president for construction equipment in Europe, Middle East and Asia.
Case’s European C series graders offer light touch

Case’s newest grader, the C Series - specifically for the European market - is a sensitive machine for a delicate job. The 12.6tonne 836C and its larger 17tonne stablemate the 856C are made in Berlin and for European Tier 4 Final countries, including Israel, says Massimiliano Sala, Case’s construction equipment product manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Their grading is much more precise, meaning the machines are made more for finishing grading that requires exacting blade control,” he said.

Paris-based construction and civils equipment rental firm Loxam has taken a 25% stake in Brazilian rental equipment business Degraus. Degraus, formed in 1987, is one of the South American country’s top five rental outfits, with a strong presence in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Recife, Salvador and Porto Alere.
Volvo lines up its SDLG brand for greater global export sales

R960 demolition machine makes Intermat debut

Liebherr has taken the wraps off the R960 demolition rig, a 93.5 tonne crawler with a choice of 28m and 34m boom configurations.
