Poland: S6 expressway and A2 motorway receive EU funding

Subsidies worth more than €228 have been granted by the European Union for the construction of the S6 expressway section to link Slupsk with Gdansk. Also, around €77 million from the EU has been granted for the A2 section between Warsaw and Minsk Mazowiecki. The S6 section will be almost 41km long and will cost over €470 million is expected to be completed in October 2021. The 15km A2 section is due to be ready in June 2020 at a total cost of €193 million.
Four consortia head to second round Czech D4 tender

Czech Transport Ministry has advanced four out of seven consortia for a €975 million D4 motorway contract between Příbram to Písek. When signed, the 32km 25-year design-build-finance-operate contract will be the first of what the Czech government hopes will be more public-private partnerships. The widened and upgraded A27/A1 highway stretches in the Netherlands have been officially opened to traffic. The upgraded highways connect Utrecht North and the Eemnes Junction, as well as the A1 highway between the Eemnes Junction and the Bunschoten-Spakenburg connection. The project was delivered two months ahead of schedule.
