Metso unveils innovative two-in-one Lokotrack LT220D

Metso has unveiled its innovative two-in-one Lokotrack LT220D, the latest addition to its mobile crushing and screening equipment range. Claiming it to be the most compact track-mounted combination of a cone crusher and a screen ever made, the company says the combination into a single track-mounted plant will reduce operational costs in several ways, most notably by substantially lowering fuel consumption and reducing the need for maintenance. In addition, the unit is compact and highly transportable.

Hyundai has revealed a high-reach demolition spec excavator at Conexpo 2014 this week, based on its 52tonne R520LC-9A. The R520LC-9A DM, as it is to be known, gets a tilting cab and a high-reach configuration that offers a working height of up to 26.1m.

Caterpillar has updated its hybrid crawler excavator, with the launch of the 336F H, incorporating Tier 4 Final power. The company claims that fuel savings of up to 30% are possible against the standard 336F excavator, despite the C9.3 engine achieving lower fuel consumption than the previous model. The engine has an automatic speed control system that lowers rpm during low load conditions. It also comes with an ECO mode that allows operators to tailor machine performance to the application.
