Work is underway on a major highway project in Victoria State, Australia. Geotechnical work and preliminary surveying is being carried out for the Monash Freeway Upgrade project. In all this project is worth some US$293.66 million (A$400 million). The geotechnical work includes testing of the road surface and stared on the stretch from Berwick-Dadenong North and will continue until late-February 2016. Meanwhile surveying is in progress at various locations along the freeway.

Highways contractor Ringway is nearly finished refreshing more than 300km of road markings for Hertfordshire County Council, north of London, in the United Kingdom. Two road marking crews consisting of two operatives have been working since April and are due to finish this month. They have been working predominantly at night to minimise disruption to the travelling public. UK road marking business WJ has acquired Euromark GB, the road marking division of Eurovia UK, for an undisclosed sum. Euromark, formerly Ringway Roadmarking, manufactures and installs road marking throughout UK to local authorities. It employs around 450 people and WJ said there would be no redundancies.

Each year in Germany, up to 80 accidents are caused by drivers on the wrong side of the road, of which many are on- and off-ramps to a main highway. To prevent this, a pilot test has been devised to alert drivers to their wrong-way direction.
