CONTROLS Group ramps up R&D at IPC Global

CONTROLS Group subsidiary IPC Global has ramped up its R&D programme, with plans to release a raft of new machines over the next few years. Kögel unveiled its new, fully insulated asphalt tipper trailer. “We now transport more safely and efficiently than ever before,” said Volker Seitz, head of business development and marketing/communications. John Garrison, Terex Corporation CEO, has said that as soon as further information is available on Zoomlion’s unsolicited cash bid for the company there will be an announcement. The Chinese construction equipment manufacturer is understood to have increased its offer for Terex in the estimated $3.4 billion bid. Kramer goes all electric for its new wheel loader 5055e

Kramer, part of the Wacker Neuson Group, will start deliveries of its fully electric wheel loader 5055e starting this summer. Charge time for the 1.2tonne lead-acid battery system is between three and six hours, depending on the work at hand. Its small size - 0.55m³ bucket capacity – and zero emission performance makes it suitable for close-quarters work, including road tunnel applications.

Sales were good for Wacker Neuson in 2015 but it was an uphill battle, according to Cem Peksaglam, the chief executive of Wacker Neuson Group. Since 2011 the German machine maker has seen “good growth”, said Peksaglam. Revenue was up 39% during this period, for around 8.5% annual compound growth. Mammoet orders 17 cranes from Kobelco

Mammoet, one of the world market leaders in the field of engineered heavy lifting and transport, has ordered 17 Kobelco cranes for its worldwide operations. Included in the deal are 15 cranes of the second generation CKE-/BME-G-series, equipped with the new engine in compliance with NRMM Europe Stage IV and US EPA Tier 4 Final regulations. These include three CKE1100-2 with 110tonne maximum lifting capacity; seven CKE1350G-2 (150tonne lifting capacity) and five CKE2500G-2 (250tonne lifting capacity).
