Ammann is moving into oscillating drum technology for its double drum roller range as customers push for a choice between vertical vibrations to a more horizontal solution to ensure smoother and more consistent compaction results. Rototilt tiltrotators to be used on Cat excavators

Cat wheeled excavators will utilise Rototilt tiltrotators under an agreement reached between the two companies. Though the agreement was just announced, a Rototilt tiltrotator was attached to an excavator at the Caterpillar booth at bauma. More involvement between the two is coming. Comer launches F-128 plus PG-161 and PGR-3603 power transmission solution

Comer has introduced a complete power transmission solution with a compact design to suit the soil compactor sector. The system comprises the F-128 axle plus the PG-161 planetary drive for the rear axle drive line and the PGR-3603 T planetary drum drive for the front drum. The rear axle drive line has a high transmission reduction ratio to nearly 140:1 and a compact design which allows for the pump and hydraulic motor to be smaller than usual. Crushing and pulverising with Ramtec attachments

Finnish attachments manufacturer Ramtec has developed the Robi RP32 rotating pulveriser. Designed for excavators in the 22-35tonne class, the RP32 features interchangeable work tools enabling the pulverising mechanism to be swapped for bolt-on crushing components. An integral shear plate enables the attachment to cut smaller materials – typically up to 100mm size, said the company.
