Ammann will be unveiling its first ever 9-tonne roller as part of a 20-strong range of new rollers that meet Euro 3B and Tier 4 Interim emission standards. Part of Ammann’s largest machine market launch to date and fitted with a Deutz 74kW engine, the ARX 90 tandem roller is said to be Swiss firm’s most important product with regard to volume in global applications. A Tier 3B version of the ARX 90 is due to become available during the course of 2013.

Guntert & Zimmerman (G&Z) continues to develop its slipformer range with the addition of the new S850SL, a multi-purpose, mid-size paver. Features to boost its versatility include swing legs and the firm’s novel telescopic ends. Volvo Construction Equipment’s new extractor for bituminous fumes will be shown at bauma, where it has been shortlisted for an Innovation Award.
