A new generation of stabilisers is now available from Wirtgen, with this revised line-up following on from the WR240 launched last year. The new WR200 and WR250 models share features with the WR240 and are said to set new standards in cold recycling and soil stabilisation. The versatile WR240 suits heavy-duty stabilisation of large areas of non-cohesive soil, and for the cold recycling of damaged asphalt layers.

A compact, powerful and reliable machine with the laying capacity of 300tonnes/hour is how Dynapac describes its new F1200 CS paver. “Its flexibility in working widths and material filling possibilities makes the Dynapac F1200CS the perfect partner for a numerous variation of job sites,” says the company. It features the newest technology with a four-cylinder Stage IIIB (Tier 4i) Deutz engine for smooth running behaviour and significant low emission level.

Claiming to be the only 2.5m feeder on the market, Dynapac says its new MF2500C material feeder offers easy and cost effective transport (no need for permissions). “Operating contact-free, the Dynapac MF2500CS feeder ensures an even material flow for all kind of asphalt and gravel layers,”says Dynapac. Dynapac is introducing the CC1600 tandem roller for asphalt which features a state-of-the-art drivers’ platform and a water-cooled engine. It has vibratory drums as wide as 1,600mm, and is engineered primarily for asphalt compaction on streets and pavements in urban areas. It is also suitable for compacting sub-bases and base courses, and is adequate to follow a compact paver.

Hamm is widening its range of HD+ asphalt compactors to no less than 24 machines in all. Nine new models competing in the 7tonne and 8tonne classes are being added to the line-up, and which share the large, high visibility and ergonomic cabs with the existing machines in the HD+ range. Customers now have an array of choices from Hamm for the 7-14tonne asphalt compactor market, to suit particular applications or duties. New features for Hamm’s GRW280 rubber tyred rollers will help increase performance for contractors. The new GRW 280i is now available with engines that meet the Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emission requirements, while also offering better fuel consumption.

From Vögele comes a new range of pavers in the shape of its latest generation machines, which are said to offer higher performance productivity and finish quality, along with lower emissions and running costs. The new machines being offered are the 1900-3, 1300-3 and 1100-3 tracked pavers, as well as the 1303-3 and 1103-3 wheeled pavers and these come in addition to the existing 2100-3, with the 1600-3 and 1800-3 also due shortly.

In addition to its new paving range, Vögele is offering improved screed technology for both European and US paving concepts. Designed for European customers, the new AB500 and AB600 extending screeds are designed to pave widths from 2-9.5m, while the VR500 and VR600 screeds have been developed for the North American market and for use with the firm’s VISION pavers. The VF500 features extending units in front of the basic screed while the VR600 has extending units behind the basic screed.
