A new development from JCB is an access platform attachment for use with the firm’s 535-140 and 535-128 model telehandlers. This has been developed to meet growing market demand for access platform attachments that can be used on telehandlers in a range of construction duties.

JCB is introducing new hydraulic breakers to meet a range of customer needs. The larger HM870Q, HM1270Q and HM1570Q hydraulic breakers feature stainless steel components in critical areas as well as sealed for life accumulators, both of which boost operating life. Performance has been increased due to improved hydraulics, boosting efficiency and reducing noise while the breakers are said to have high power to weight ratios compared with rival units.

The combination of innovative safety features in a new quick hitch device for hydraulic excavators has earned a silver award for Klac in the INTERMAT Innovation Awards 2012. The new Klac + quick hitch device comes in three models for machines of 8/9tonnes to 24/25tonnes. It has been designed to open up new markets for the company, which has specialised in quick coupling systems for 11 years but had previously focused on smaller machines.

The Kramer Allrad 550 wheel-loader is said to be a machine that constructs above its weight. Despite the machine’s compact design, Kramer claims it offers operators the “full loader performance” of a “big machine”. One of two recently to market Kramer machines for the 0.6m³ class, the 550 is aimed mainly at customers in the construction industry, rental fleets and local authorities.

It might be compact, but the recently launched Kramer Allrad 650 wheel-loader does not shirk from weighty construction matters. JLG says the high-torque hydrostatic transmission of its L2906H compact telehandler, on show at INTERMAT 2012, allows for all-terrain application suitability “unmatched” by competitors. The L2906H and the rest of JLG’s compact range are equipped with a Stage IIIa Deutz engine that delivers 74.9kW Even in extreme rough terrain situations, the limited-slip differential feature on the front axle further enhances the traction provided by the high-torque hydrostatic transmission.

While lift heights remain unchanged from 10-13m, increased lift capacities can now be found across Liebherr’s four-model telehandler range, which now offers 4.1 and 5 tonne lift capabilities.
