Novapoint offers new road design program

Norway's Novapoint has released the server-side version of its new object-based road design software, QuadriDCM, which it says will effectively integrate BIM-based interdisciplinary working methods over the internet. The software works in conjunction with the Novapoint 19 DCM road design suite and allows cloud-based design work by multiple users. Asphalt plant specialist E-Mak has developed and patented a hot recycling system that saves energy while ensuring bitumen is not damaged during the material recycling process. Cleverly, its new plant re-uses heat generated by the burner and flows it through the tower to improve heat regeneration to maintain product quality. A woman managed to crash her car into the front window of an opticians’ shop in an English town. Both staff and customers had a very unwelcome surprise as the woman’s vehicle burst through the front of the shop. Fortunately no-one was hurt in the incident. Police refused to comment on the incident, while the driver has been keeping a low profile since the incident. It is not known if she was wearing glasses at the time of the crash, or if she has since started.
