The completely redesigned Ammann ARX generation light tandem rollers on show at Conexpo 2014 are specifically made to compact asphalt and substrates on smaller and medium-sized building sites. The ARX 16 K, ARX 26 and ARX 45 models on show in Las Vegas are among 13 different ARX models in weight categories from 1.5 to 4.8 tonnes, with working widths from 82cm to 138cm.

Concrete specialist Allen Engineering is highlighting it diverse product range at Conexpo, with some of its latest models on show. One of the firm’s key products is its proven Triple Roller Tube with gang vibrators, while another is the RS844 Roller Screed. Allen Engineering offers units for bridge construction and is exhibiting its versatile Bridge Deck Finisher.

Claimed by Asphalt Drum Mixers (ADM) to offer high efficiency and a compact design for contractors with low to medium production needs, the U.S. firm will be showcasing its new EX Series asphalt plants with single-drum counterflow technology at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014. Following its summer 2013 launch, Bobcat’s Conexpo debut-making E63 Compact Tail Swing excavator is said to have better joystick controls, lift capacity, arm and bucket forces, and drive performance than previous models. Replacing the E60, the E63 is the second-largest machine in the company’s compact excavator family. The 6.3tonne excavator features a number of operator conveniences including a new blade float, multi-function joysticks, colour instrumentation panel and an auto-shift drive system.

Bobcat’s 500 frame skid-steer and compact track loaders will be exhibited at ConExpo 2014. Atlas Copco’s (AC) ergonomically designed LP6500 duplex roller is said by the Swedish firm to offer high operator comfort. Terex’s powerful Superlift 3800 crawler crane is now being offered in a larger configuration than before. According to Terex, the new Superlift has been designed to boost performance in the 650tonne capacity class and replaces the firm’s well-proven CC 2800-1. Requiring up to 30% less counterweight for long boom erection, the crane features a new-style cab and Terex fall protection system.
