Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) is introducing its Tier 4 Final earthmovers to the world market at Conexpo 2014. The new Tier 4 line-up includes the new generation E-Series excavators, H-Series wheeled loaders and G-Series articulated haulers.

LiuGong Machinery is now offering two new wheeled loaders. The 842III and 888III wheeled loaders are built for high efficiency and reliability according to the firm and these machines are also said to be easy to maintain and operate.

LiuGong Machinery is exhibiting two of its key excavators at Conexpo, the 922D and 950E. The 950E model is aimed at the 50tonne excavator class of particular importance as it takes LiuGong’s range into a new segment for large earthmoving duties. The 950E can be configured for mass excavation applications such as truck loading and the standard model features a 3.2m3 bucket although other application-specific buckets are also offered.

The PR 736 dozer being introduced to the US market at Conexpo 2014 is the first model in Liebherr’s new Generation 6 series and is said to offer customers increased efficiency and lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Among the innovations on the Generation 6 machine models, including the 20-25tonne service weight PR 736, are electronic travel speed regulation with an integral eco-function, and pro-active power control.

KOBELCO Construction Machinery USA is raising its profile in the US with the introduction of the improved excavator range at Conexpo. One of the key new models in the line-up is the 5.5tonne class SK55, although the range extends all the way to the powerful SK500 which competes in the competitive 50tonne excavator class.

WS Tyler says it has added mobility to the list of benefits of its Hydro-Clean washing system. JCB is expanding its telehandler line-up with the addition of the compact 525-60 at Conexpo. According to the firm, the 525-60 offers full-size telehandler performance in a compact chassis. Maximum lift height is 6m and its load capacity is 2.5 tonnes, while the 525-60 is just 1.8m wide and 1.91m tall. This allows it to be operated in sites with limited space. JCB is now fitting its new Tier 4 JCB Ecomax diesel engine to its latest rough terrain forklift range. The engine delivers the same 55kW output as the previous Dieselmax motor, but meets the Tier 4 emissions regulations without the need for a diesel particulate filter or an SCR exhaust after-treatment system. This reduces running costs for customers and the Ecomax engine is being fitted to all four models in JCB’s RTFL range: the 926, 930, 940 and 950.
