Telsmith launches a high-output 820 tracked screening plant at Conexpo 2014

Among new crushing and screening products showcased by Telsmith at Conexpo 2014 this week, a new 820 tracked screening plant was taking centre stage offering users high throughput volumes. The plant includes an 8203 Telsmith TL screen; 1,372mm feed conveyor, an 1,829mm under screen conveyor, all combined to process up to 907tonnes/hour.

The giant construction equipment, mining, cranes and automation systems manufacturer Liebherr recorded group sales of just under US$12.4bn (€9bn) in 2013, $137m (€100m) down on the previous year. The privately-owned company suffered a 4% drop in turnover in its construction and mining division, which turned over $7.7bn (€5.62bn) last year.

AEM highlights drop in US equipment exports

The US-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has revealed data showing that exports of construction equipment dropped 25% in 2013 compared to the previous year. The exports of machines were worth some US$$20 billion in all. The data comes from the US Commerce Department and is being highlighted in the AEM’s trend reports. Hyundai firms up its compaction equipment offering with the new HR120C-9 at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2014

Hyundai used Conexpo 2014 to launch the HR120C-9, the first in a new range of soil compactors that will only be available in selected markets. The HR120C-9, made for Hyundai by Atlas Weyhausen, is a 12tonne machine equipped with a smooth drum and a permanent front axle weight of 6.9tonnes.

As the first of the company’s C Series drills, the MD5150C comes with a choice of three different rock drills and is said to deliver class-leading power and high airflow rates for the fast, efficient drilling of holes from 101.6mm to 152mm in diameter.
