Construction work on the 13.6km Gempol Pandaan toll road in East Java is commencing. The US$174.5 million project will take 18 months to complete and is expected to open for traffic in the third quarter of 2013.
Romania’s road building programme is moving forward, but perhaps more slowly than the country’s National Company for Highways and Roads (CNADNR) would prefer. Plans are in hand for a US$616.6 million highway project in Yibin, China. China Roads, Xingtai Road and Bridge Construction and Sichuan Yibin Yili Group have signed concession and investment agreements for the Yibin-Yiliang and Yibin highways with the authorities in the city of Yibin.
