Bidding is underway for the first section of Bulgaria's Trakiya Highway. This will be followed shortly by the bidding process for the second 32km stretch of the highway which will be 32km long. The highway is due for completion by early June 2010.
Serbia is planning to speed construction of its highway network. A key project being prioritised is the Corridor 10 motorway, which is due for completion by September 2016. Another priority project is for Corridor 11 and for several regional road routes. At present the Corridor 10 sections between Sid and Belgrade, and Subotica and Belgrade have been built, while work on the 22km Ipsilon stretch between Subotica and Kelebija is underway. Slovakia has opened the 9.5km Levoca bypass, nearly completing the northern part of the D1 cross-country motorway. The remaining section between Bratislava and Kosice is expected to be open around 2020, with the Zilina, Presov and Ruzomberok bypasses yet to be built.
The newly opened section of Janovce - Jablonov II includes the 600m tunnel Sibenik, as well as a slip road to Levoca and 12 road bridges.

The busy I-10 in Florida is now benefiting from a smoother surface, following very necessary reconstruction work. There were no completed sections of I-10 until 1961 when the 59km Sanderson to Jacksonville stretch was first finished. In the years since, section by section have been constructed, culminating in the complete stretch of I-10 in Florida, running 579km through the state.
