Asphalt Drum Mixers (ADM) says its SPL hot-mix asphalt plants are an affordable option for contractors with low production requirements. The SPL series is said to include all necessary components for drum-mixing asphalt production, yet can fit on a single trailer frame. The plants provide high reliability while producing asphalt at a very low cost per ton.

Asphalt Burner Services (ABS), a nationwide provider of asphalt servicing and spare part products, has fitted a Vulcan Burner at Cemex Shap, in Cumbria, North West England. ABS says Cemex has noted that fuel usage has reduced, emissions have lowered and overall plant performance has increased substantially. Excess air control, combustion chamber optimisation and air pressure compensation are said by ABS to be key features of the Vulcan range.

Sandvik has supplied an aggregate plant to the DooWon Development Company to process granite at its Jungeub quarry in JeonRa province, South Korea. The supplied equipment is processing blasted rock from a feed size of -900mm in order to produce aggregate for the Korean construction industry, with the product fractions ranging from 0-5mm to 13-25mm, at a required rate of production of 500tonnes per hour.
