JCB has received an order for 50 of its Hydradig 110W wheeled excavators from UK hire specialist H.E. Services (Plant Hire). The deal was secured at the recent bauma construction equipment trade fair in Munich, Germany, where the Hydradig was shown for the first time to thousands of international customers. H.E. Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe has signed a deal with Cramo, one of Europe’s largest rental companies, for the purchase of between 800-1,000 machines. The deal for hydraulic compact excavators was made after Cramo spent several months testing products, said Klavs Otisons, product area and sourcing manager for Cramo Group Fleet Management. “Yanmar has been our supplier for already a couple of years, but with this settlement we can offer our customers products and services in even better quality.”

Argentina has set out plans for a major refurbishment of much of its dilapidated road network. The work will take four years to complete and involves building 2,800km of highways as well as 4,000km of trunk roads.
