Austria-headquartered Efkon Group has announced that its Efkon India subsidiary has received four prestigious tolling and ITS contracts valued at some US$8.8 million in total. Texas Transportation Institute (TTI) has published the 2011 Congested Corridors Report, the first nationwide effort to identify reliability problems at specific stretches of US highway responsible for significant traffic congestion at different times and different days. The Indonesian Ministry Of Public Works plans to allot US$524.5 million for the upgrade of national roads in capital Jakarta as part of its 2012 budget. The construction of the 16km Tanjong Priok access toll road is one of the key projects, along with the Ciputat-Bogor, Depok-Tangerang and Banten-Gandaria roads. Other projects budgeted are for the maintenance of national roads in Bogor, Bekasi, Jakarta and Banten.
