Atlas Copco’s CC1200 is aimed at the rental market, with power from a Tier 4 Final compliant Kubota diesel. Weighing 2.5tonnes, the machine is offered with a drum width of 1.2m and features including a foldable Rops system, spring-loaded scrapers and beacon lights. Meanwhile Hyundai is offering the HR25T-9 compactor to the US rental market. This 2.5tonne compactor has 1m wide drums and is made for Hyundai by German company Atlas Weyhausen, with power from a Tier 4 Final compliant Deutz diesel rated at 22
Caterpillar pavers assist in Malta airport upgrade

A new Cat AP600F paver used by Maltese contractor Bonnici Brothers has helped with important resurfacing work at Malta’s International Airport. The machine was able to carry out the paving job within a tight time frame, due to its high productivity. The work was needed at the airport as part of a programme to increase its capacity. Heijmans’ bright yellow Dynapacs get the green light at Schiphol

A damp and foggy morning at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands. Some of the five runways are in normal use, but one of them shows a different kind of activity. At a slow but steady pace, a small army of bright yellow machines is repaving the surface. The project is being carried out by Heijmans, one of the largest road-building contractors in the Netherlands.

BBA is the British Board of Agrément, one of the UK’s leading notified bodies offering approval, certification and test services to manufacturers of products and systems supplying the construction industry. Wirtgen cold milling machines recently demonstrated their ability on runway rehabilitation work at Alghero-Fertilia Airport in Sardinia. CH2M to rehabilitate Denver Airport aprons

Denver International Airport has awarded CH2M a contract for gate apron rehabilitation and drainage improvements. The three-year project encompasses professional engineering support and technical services for enhancements adjacent to concourses A, B and C. Specialist supplying Sussex surfacing

Contractor FM Conway will carry out major resurfacing works in the UK. The £56 million deal is with East Sussex County Council, operating as specialist surfacing sub-contractor to the Costain CH2M joint venture. This is a seven year deal involving surfacing as well as maintenance and patching work. FM Conway will be using its novel Enviro range of asphalt base and binder products for the road rebuilding work, reducing the quantities of primary aggregates required in the job.
