Rural road construction and maintenance works are planned for Uzbekistan.
New rural roads will be built in Uzbekistan, while existing links will be maintained and repaired. The programme is receiving funding from the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB), based in Saudi Arabia.
The funding worth US$260 million will be for Uzbekistan’s Integrated Rural Development Project. In addition, the ISDB will provide $107 million to improve the M39 route.
