Greenland tunnel project planned

A new tunnel project is being planned for Greenland.

The tender process is underway for a road and tunnel link for Greenland’s capital, Nuuk. The project calls for the construction of 1.45km of road as well as the 1.075km tunnel section. A number of firms are competing for the tender at present. The award for the tender process is due to be announced in April 2021. Financing for the road and tunnel is being provided by Denmark. Construction is intended to commence in mid-2021. The work should take around one year to carry out.

    Construction of a bridge and two new tunnels on Montenegro’s Bar-Boljare highway will go ahead. Permission for the projects was given by the country’s Ministry of Sustainable Development. The work is for the new Zagradje Bridge link as well as the Mrki Krs and Durilovac tunnels, which will be constructed for the 41km highway stretch from Smokovac to Matesevo.
