Australia road contract awarded to South Korean firm
The 13km M4-M5 Link in Sydney, Australia is to be constructed by the South Korean contractor, Samsung C&T. The project is worth US$788.5 million. The new link will be constructed as an underpass and is due for completion in mid-2023.

The 13km M4-M5 Link in Sydney, Australia is to be constructed by the South Korean contractor, 1026 Samsung C&T. The project is worth US$788.5 million. The new link will be constructed as an underpass and is due for completion in mid-2023.
The authorities in the Russian city of St Petersburg will spend some US$514.6 million on road construction and reconstruction during 2012. The city authorities will use public and private partnerships to push ahead with planned road infrastructure projects. Contractor STRABAG is to work on the project to build a new bridge connection in South Africa. This structure is of note as it will be Africa’s highest bridge at 223m high. The 1,132m long bridge will span the Mtentu River in eastern South Africa, close to the town of Flagstaff. The contract has a value of around €106 million and the construction work is expected to take 40 months to complete.
