1175 Zoomlion has announced the formal acquisition of dry-mixed mortar equipment manufacturer 7557 M-TEC.

A spokesperson for Zoomlion said the move for Neuenbürg, Germany-based M-TEC strengthens the Chinese construction equipment manufacturing giant’s “top brand position” in the concrete machinery field.

The latest concrete sector company acquisition by Zoomlion follows the group’s acquisition of leading Italian concrete machinery manufacturer 2203 CIFA in 2008.

The Zoomlion spokesperson claimed that M-TEC is the only company globally capable of R&D and the manufacturing of both dry-mixed mortar mixing plant equipment and dry-mixed mortar site equipment. The firm is also said by the spokesperson to be capable of dry-mixed mortar recipe application while also being familiar with mortar production technology, therefore making it better able to meet Chinese market and customer demand.
