298 Peri’s Variokit heavy-duty truss girder system has been designed specifically for tunnel and bridge construction to reach those hard-to-get places.

The heavy-duty truss girder complements the Variokit heavy-duty shoring tower. Peri took into account the load-bearing capacity of the tower as well as the challenging requirements of everyday construction work.

The high-load modular lattice system can be used for spans up to 40m. With the continuously
adjustable telescopic support frame, all spans can be created with centimetre precision.

In addition, the calotte bearing allows easy adaption to the longitudinal and lateral inclinations of the superstructure. The heavy-duty truss girder can be quickly assembled by means of fitting pins. The optional PERI UP scaffolding in the bottom section provides completely safe working conditions.

The concrete paving market has provided stable ground for existing players, though key market developments are in hand. US manufacturers have long dominated the concrete paving sector with well-known firms such as GOMACO, Guntert & Zimmerman, Power Curbers, Power Pavers and Terex all being based in the US, while German firm Wirtgen is Europe's leading contender in this market. However there is some jostling for position in the concrete paving sector, with some of the players looking to enter new segments. T

As part of the R1 southern orbital motorway around the Czech capital, Prague, a joint venture is building a five-span, 461m long and approximately 65m high viaduct near the village of Lochkov, as a girder bridge construction. For the two steeply inclined twin piers, Doka has supplied an automatic climbing formwork solution that obviates the need for shoring and that will "cut more than 100 days from the construction period." Cast-in-place concrete construction of bridge piers with such a steep inclination
