Chinese extraction site using XCMG machines

An extraction operation in China is benefiting from the use of construction machines supplied by XCMG. The site, in Xinjiang, has been using XCMG XE470D and XE700D excavators since 2016. The machines have now clocked in excess of 10,000 operating hours, with operators working in shifts allowing the excavators to operate 20 hours/day. Despite tough working conditions, the XCMG excavators used at the extraction site in China have been able to top 10,000 operating hours
An extraction operation in China is benefiting from the use of construction machines supplied by 2490 XCMG. The site, in Xinjiang, has been using XCMG XE470D and XE700D excavators since 2016. The machines have now clocked in excess of 10,000 operating hours, with operators working in shifts allowing the excavators to operate 20 hours/day.

The site is located at the northern edge of the Tianshan Mountains and the south-eastern edge of the Junggar Basin. It is affected by the Indosinian and Yanshan movements, where the geological folds are intense and the terrain is complex. The difficult geology adds to the challenges the machines face at the site, where the environment is difficult with hard digging conditions and a high incidence of dust.

Despite the demanding conditions however, the machines are still delivering high utilisation rates and are working reliably. Planned maintenance schedules have ensured that the excavators have been able to operate in the difficult conditions, despite the long working hours.
