The authorities in Phnom Penh plan to handle the city's endemic congestion problems. The first traffic tackling project is for the construction of a second flyover, which will be 15m wide by 420m long and connect Sen Sok district with Tuol Kork district. The project is expected to be financed by OCIC. Cambodia's first overpass is the Kbal Thnal Sky Bridge.

    Construction is now underway on the expressway that will connect Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh, with the country’s premier port, Sihanoukville. The expressway will stretch some 190km when complete and the project is expected to cost US$2 billion. The work is being carried out by the Chinese contractor, China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).
