A series of road projects is being awarded in Nepal. The announcements over the winning tenders for 13 projects is being made in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu. Financing worth US$300 million is being provided from Indian sources.
The tender process is opening in Paraguay for a new stretch of the 557km Transchaco road. The work for this section is expected to cost US$101.3 million. The firms winning the deals for the Transchaco road sections will have to maintain these stretches of the route for four years under the terms of each agreement. Major roadworks within Mohammed Bin Zayed City are among recently announced projects, including electricity, street-lighting and storm-water drainage systems, to be funded by more than US$128 million.
The projects covered by the funding were announced by Abu Dhabi officials in the United Arab Emirates.
