The road projects built under PPPs include the Guercif-Nador West Med, Tanger-Tétouan, Safi-Marrakech, Béni Mellal-Fès-Meknès and Agadir-Guelmim motorways.

Studies will also be launched for logistics hubs, the locations of which have already been identified. Morocco’s Department of Transport is also developing a national test laboratory for vehicles and accessories.

Meanwhile the PPP for the development of the Kenitra Atlantique port has been boosted by the decision by 3526 PSA Peugeot Citroën to create a production site in Kenitra. The detailed pre-project study is now underway, and that several financing options are on the table, with the total cost of the project set to be US$821.78 million. The port will benefit from road and rail connections.
