Béni Mellal is two hours from Casablanca, Marrakesh and Fez and has industrial potential while its airport is being expanded. With regard to the by-pass east of Marrakesh, it forms part of a plan to develop road infrastructure around Morocco’s largest cities and would also improve access to the South-East of the country.
