Contracts awarded for key sections of Poland’s S7 route

Work is starting on Poland’s S7 expressway. Italian firm Salini Impregilo is leading a consortium to construct a 21.5km stretch of the S7 expressway. The section lies between the Jedrzejow and Checiny junctions. The deal is worth nearly €144.67 million. The completion deadline is set for the third quarter of 2017. Work is starting on Poland’s S7 expressway. Italian firm 7809 Salini Impregilo is leading a consortium to construct a 21.5km stretch of the S7 expressway. The section lies between the Jedrzejow and Checiny junctions. The deal is worth nearly €144.67 million. The completion deadline is set for the third quarter of 2017. Meanwhile a consortium headed by 3302 Budimex has won a contract worth nearly €318.28 million for the construction of a 9.7km section of the S7 route between Ostroda Polnoc and Ostroda Poludnie. The work will also include the construction of an 8.7km ring road around Ostroda which will be part of the national road number 15 (DK 15). Completion of the work is expected to take 20 months in all, excluding the downtime for the winter months.

The stretch, connecting Lotnisko junction with Grojec's ring road, will cost €186.66 million to build.     Przedsiebiorstwo Uslug Technicznych Intercor has been awarded a contract to build the second section of the S3 dual carriageway. The 11.6km section will stretch from Przeszkody to Paszkow and cost around €106 million (nearly US$116 million). The S3 will run from Świnoujście on the Baltic Sea through Szczecin, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Zielona Góra and Legnica to the border with the Czech Republic, where it will connect to the D11 motorway.
