Announced in October 2012, the completed 33km WestConnex motorway will cover the western, inner western, and southern suburbs of Sydney. It was last year said to be the highest priority infrastructure project for the state of New South Wales, aimed at helping to relieve Sydney’s longstanding congestion problems.
