Serbia highway tendering

The tender process is opening in Serbia for a major new highway construction project. The Moravski Koridor project involves the construction of a new highway measuring 112km in all. Bidding is opening for the project, which will improve journey times between Pojate and Preljina in central Serbia although estimated costs for the work have not so far been released.

    In Serbia work on the Corridor 10 highway looks set to be completed as planned in 2016. Serbian roads company, Koridori Srbije, says that that the Corridor 10 motorway should be completed by the middle of 2016.     Four Chinese contractors are involved in the bidding process for work on Brunei’s Temburong Bridge project. This is the second phase for the bridge project, as a local contractor, Swee, and a South Korean company, Daelim Industrial, won the tender process for the first phase of the work.     A series of major highway construction and road repair projects is planned for Serbia. The World Bank (WB), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have all been in talks with the Serbian Government concerning funding for the work. Funding worth €408.46 million has been approved by the three banks for programme of highway construction and road repairs.
