The proposed Fehmarn Belt Tunnel to link Denmark and northern Germany will never be economically viable, according a report commissioned by German ferry operator Scandilines. Revenue and traffic forecasts are unrealistically high, notes the report completed by German consultancy DIW Econ. It is unlikely that the latest cost to build the massive road tunnel, around €7.4 billion, would ever be recovered.

The Colombian Vice President, German Vargas Lleras, has announced that two proposals have been received to build the Santana-Mocoa-Neiva motorway.
This road has a budget of US$627.22 million is one of the nine initiatives the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has included in the second wave of 4G motorway projects.
The two companies interested in carrying out the work are Concesionaria Vias del Desarrollo 4 and Infraestructura Vial para Colombia.

New parking rules in Stockholm could raise an extra €1.83 million-€2.42 million (SEK 15mn-SEK 20mn) a year. The city is expected to approve a proposal that extends its parking fee period by two hours. The proposal also called for stricter residential parking rules and changed zones, to make it more difficult to park on roads that require accessibility for buses.
